Through Baptism, we are called to be disciples of Jesus. If we want to live in fidelity to Christ, many paths open up before us. The choice is ours!
Some choose life as lay celibates, in service to the Church, in being present to their brothers and sisters.
Others choose to live their Christian commitment with a partner and choose marriage as their way of witnessing to God's love.
Others commit themselves to live celibacy while maintaining their lifestyle.
Still others profess vows and live their commitment as consecrated persons in a secular institute, in a religious congregation, in a monastic community, or as a consecrated virgin in a diocese, etc.
God's Spirit can also conjure up other ways: He is unpredictable.
You may say: How do I choose? Why not become involved in the first steps of a vocation journey? You will draw a treasure! You may discover your own gifts… and your limitations…and perhaps find your own way!
