Sixty years of religious consecration are worth celebrating, even in the intimacy of a small province. That is what Sisters Gertrude Coutu and Jacqueline Dubuc did on Saturday, May 14, at St. Joseph Residence in Lowell. The Eucharist, presided by Father Garcia Breneville, pastoral vicar at St. Rita Parish, followed by a festive meal, a lovely spring décor and much fraternity, added to the solemnity of the occasion. Some members of the parish music ministry joined their talents to those of Sisters Jeanne Archambault and Préscille Malo to offer an excellent liturgical music program. Even the heavy clouds did not succeed in dampening the joyful atmosphere of the day. |
