The Jubilees in the Elisabeth Bruyère Province, 2011!
As England celebrates a “royal wedding”, the SCO royally celebrate the Jubilees of the “Brides of Christ” who are celebrating 75, 70, 60, 50 and 25 years in His service. Throughout the Province, the local communities have chosen to mark the occasion either on Easter Sunday or during the Octave of Easter... and there was a reason for that choice. As we celebrate the Risen Christ, the “Light of the world” and are deeply touched by the Word of God, there could be no better time to celebrate the beauty and light in the life of our Jubilarians. Like the disciples, “they came, they believed and ran” (Jn 20 and Lk 24). When they were young, they recognized Jesus at the “breaking of the bread” and for all these years, they have been rising every morning and hastened to tell the world that Jesus is alive.
To each and every Jubilarian, our Sincere Congratulations for your good example and for the hope that you bring to our world where so many are waiting to hear the Good News of the Lord. You radiate the light of the Risen Christ.

Our special congratulations to Sister Lorraine Desjardins, our General Animator, who is celebrating her Golden Jubilee. Sister Lorraine, “what did you see on the way?” With all the mandates that you been given, like Mary Magdalene, you can surely answer: “I saw the tomb of the Risen Christ; I saw the glory of the Risen Christ.” It is this conviction that has allowed you to accept with courage and audacity the various missions that you have dealt with. Thanks to your leadership, the Congregation remains “alive and well”. Our Congratulations and sincere gratitude. When a Province can boast of having a crown of 35 Jubilarians, it is truly having a royal celebration of the consecrated life!
