Eight Sisters were honoured on May 1st during a special day organized especially to mark their respective Jubilees. Facing us were very different faces but each one showing the certitude that the God of the Covenant and of Mercy had kept His word.
Blessed be His name
Celebration of the Eucharist, a moment of Adoration in the afternoon and special Vespers all seemed to meet the Jubilarian’s wishes. And of course, there was the “wedding feast” and a special homage paid to each one as the Sisters harmonized their hearts and voices to jubilate as a group. Could you recognize for which jubilarian each of the following comments were made?
“She greets every single moment with serenity, in a spirit of prayer and amazement.”
“Her eagerness to help others, her very personal salutations, and the distinction of having an ardent desire to share and discuss on spiritual topics”.
“How many times have we enjoyed listening to her relating the details accompanying an old song. What an amazing memory, plus a willingness to share”.
“Her jokes are a source of relaxation; she discovers sparks of life in the weakest individuals.”
“Driving the Sisters during our slippery winters seems to bring out her humour, which joined to her willingness to serve and her ability to communicate are all qualities which characterize her.”
“Let us listen to a woman of interiority and of organization; we will find countless treasures.”
“She has a gift by which she can discern what is needed, what surprises would please, anything that can bring joy to others; all this is done discretely and silently.”
“Her many steps relieve our elderly Sisters; her kind heart brings her special graces from our Blessed Mother, as well as a promising future.”
Lord, blessed are you for our Jubilarians!
