The liturgy of November 2nd invites us to pray for all our sisters and for all our brothers and sisters who have died, all the members of our families and all the friends who have left us.
In a special way, we remember our 24 Sisters of Charity of Ottawa deceased since November 2nd, 2010.
06-04-13 - 06-11-10 Sister Madeleine Montour (Madeleine-Sophie), born April 6, 1913, professed July 16, 1935, worked especially in health care (nursing and medical records) and in community service. She returned to the Father’s House on November 6, 2010.
17-11-21 - 07-11-10 Sister Noëlla Baril (Joseph-de-la-Providence), born November 17, 1921, professed July 15, 1943, worked in education and in health care (medical records) and in community service. She returned to the Father’s House on November 7, 2010.
31-01-24 - 20-11-10Sister Georgette Villeneuve (St-Thomas-de-Villeneuve) born January 31, 1924, professed July 15, 1950, worked especially in the arts (church vestments and painting in studio), in parish pastoral work and in community service (as a driver among other services). She returned to the Father’s House on November 20, 2010.
10-06-09 - 25-11-10 Sister Albertine Schryburt (Alberte-de-Jésus), born June 10, 1909, professed July 15, 1931, worked mostly in education (teacher and principal) and in parish pastoral work. She returned to the Father’s House on November 25, 2010.
04-06-22 - 25-11-10 Sister Marie-Claire Denis (Saint-Léon-le-Grand), born June 4, 1922, professed July 16, 1935, worked mostly in education and in community service. She returned to the Father’s House on November 25, 2010.
15-02-14 - 06-12-10Sister Agathe Houle (Agathe-du-Sacré-Coeur), born February 15, 1914, professed July 16, 1935, worked mostly in education and in community service (personnel director at Mount St. Joseph). She returned to the Father’s House on December 6, 2010.
01-05-26 - 29-12-10Sister Anita Mélançon (Angèle-de-l’Eucharistie), born October 25, 1922, professed July 16, 1945, worked mostly in education and in community service as a seamstress. She returned to the Father’s House on December 29, 2010.
04-03-22 - 06-01-11 Sister Saint Ernest (Eugénie Hamel), born March 4, 1922, professed July 15, 1943, worked mostly in health care as a nurse. She was a missionary in Lesotho. She returned to the Father’s House on January 6, 2011.
22-04-20 - 22-02-11 Sister Alice Cayen (Marie-de-l’Espérance), born April 22, 1920, professed on July 15, 1942, worked mostly in education (teacher and associate to the dean of Ottawa University) and in community service (directress of studies and local animator). She returned to the Father’s House on February 22, 2011.
01-09-26 - 24-02-11 Sister Pierrette Gélinas (Marie-des-Apôtres), born September 1, 1926, professed July 15, 1950, worked in health care as a nurse’s aide and in community service ( cook and cafeteria worker). She returned to the Father’s House on February 24, 2011.
04-01-16 - 04-03-11 Sister Lucille Cadieux (Marie-Hilaire), born January 4, 1916, professed July 15, 1937, worked in education (teacher and librarian), in service to the needy and in community service (laundry and receptionist). She returned to the Father’s House on March 4, 2011.
15-09-27 - 17-03-11 Sister Éliane Mercier (Marie-Léandre), born September 15, 1927, professed January 3, 1950, worked mostly in community service (cook and receptionist). She returned to the Father’s House on March 17, 2011.
20-02-13 - 01-04-11 Sister Germaine Cadieux (Victor-Marie), born February 20, 1913, professed July 15, 1950, worked mostly in service to the needy and in community service (seamstress and helper to the retired Sisters). She returned to the Father’s House on April 1, 2011.
16-06-13 - 05-04-11 Sister Cécile Blanchette (Saint-Jean-Gualbert), born April 2, 1916, professed July 15, 1943, worked mostly in education, as parish secretary and in community service. She returned to the Father’s House on April 5, 2011.
12-01-45 - 13-04-11 Sister Cecile Immaculata (Exinia Mokhakala), born January 12, 1945, professed January 7, 1967, worked mostly in education and in community service (local animator and formation director). She returned to the Father’s House on April 13, 2011.

09-12-23 - 13-06-11 Sister Simone Lafrenière (Sainte-Madeleine-Postel), born December 9, 1923, professed July 15, 1943, worked mostly in education and in community service (local animator and in service at the Abbey in Rougemont). She returned to the Father’s House on June 13, 2011.
