Cameroon
In 1995, at the request of the Bishop of the Diocese of Edea, we accepted to open a mission in Cameroon.
1996 - 2000: In 1996, four Sisters traveled to serve the people of Cameroon in this new diocese, at the service of the Church and of the needy. Youth ministry, formation of catechists, formation and promotion of women, social pastoral care, hospital pastoral care, prison visitation and responsibility for the diocesan center were all commitments which took up most of the energy of these sisters. A fifth companion soon joined the initial group to work in vocation ministry. Very shortly, young women were expressing a keen interest for the charism of the Congregation. They wish to evangelize through revealing God's compassion.
21st century: A Novitiate building soon became a necessity. In 2003, this Novitiate opened its doors and three young women began their formation to consecrated life.
