A word from Mother Bruyère
June 2, 1845
If you could only see how entangled I am, you would quickly come to my help. I seem to be spoiling everything here. There is need of a much more able hand to manage the affairs of Bytown, and this is lacking for me; it is true that our Father is of great help, I do nothing without his advice, in what is under his authority, but there is so much where I would need a mother’s advice. If you do not want me to forever tarnish the name of the Grey Nuns, it would be good that you come in haste to put things in order here.
