A word from Mother Bruyère
January 21, 1846
Our two dear Sisters St. Joseph and Xavier arrived happily here last night (20) around 7:30, a bit tired from their travels. We eagerly awaited them and you can well imagine our joy at being together once again. Sister Xavier is strong and courageous. I thank you for such a beautiful gift, as much in my own name as in that of my dear companions. You could not have found a better way of telling us that you think of us, than in giving us this help at this moment. For our part, we will do our best to prove our gratitude to you
