A word from Mother Bruyère
Chronicles, February 9, 1864
A six o’clock, we began the adoration of the Blessed Sacrament which would continue until the next morning in reparation for the wrong done to Our Lord by sinners during carnival time. ( … ) We began the adoration with the singing of the Tantum Ergo, and the hymn “Let us sigh, lament and shed bitter tears”. There are always 9 or 10 Sisters in adoration, but from eight o’clock until ten o’clock, almost the entire community was present.
