New Members for the Junior Associates

On the first Sunday of Advent, November 28, five young people made their first commitment as Associates for St. Joseph Province, joining seven others who renewed their commitment.  This ceremony was held during the course of the Sunday Eucharist at the Parish of St. Rita in Lowell.  These young Associates, students either at the secondary or the university level, meet regularly for prayer, sharing and the study of the life of Elisabeth Bruyère or of the Congregation.  In addition, each one is involved in an apostolic project, such as tutoring disadvantaged students, volunteer work, or involvement in their parish community, etc.  They seek to witness to their faith in the school environment even when that is not always well received.
