March 18, 1846

The Feast of St. Patrick was celebrated with all the solemnity possible by the people of Bytown.  The Temperance Society had been organized just a few days prior; the procession was held after mass; there was order and peace and the day itself ended in the same way.Mother Bruyère's pen
