Supper, kindness of the first Canadian ladies

Supper, kindness of the first Canadian ladies

 

Once the visitors had left, Mr. Thomas Brûlé, master blacksmith, brought a wrought iron cross which he had made for the bell tower of the future convent.  Several other benefactors from the town also came to offer their services.  Some of the prominent ladies of the town then served the evening meal to the Sisters.
