Land is purchased for the hospital

Land is purchased for the hospital

 

December 15, 1846, an auction brought together several buyers for the Crown lots.  Father Telmon, who wished to obtain some land for the Sisters’ hospital, called upon the lawyer Jean –Baptiste Lyon who negotiated the purchase of six double lots: the site of the present Mother House on Bruyère and Cathcart Streets.
